UPDATE ON NSFW CONTENT AND WHAT THAT MEANS FOR PHANTOMS CURSE!

URGENT!

hello everyone. I'm making this announcement because itch.io had a recent and currently on going change to how nsfw content will be happen on this platform here ->https://itch.io/updates/update-on-nsfw-content

because of this update the future of this game being on this platform is sadly uncertain.  as a preemptive measure I have disconnected all payment methods I use for receiving payment for this project in the hope that when this game is review it will not be removed. from the article above I quote " we will introduce new compliance measures. For NSFW pages, this will include a new step where creators must confirm that their content is allowable under the policies of the respective payment processors linked to their account." currently we don't know what this process will look like yet, but my hope is that by disconnecting my payment methods, this project will not be  not subject to following the guidelines of a payment processor if there isn't one connected to my account. however this may not be enough as "Part of this review will see some pages being permanently removed from itch.io" which means that even if I'm not associated with any payment processors this game might still be removed. if this work around happens to work and comply with the future itch.io's nsfw rules then it still sucks that i cant receive monetary support directly through itch, but that's ok.  i will likely branch out to other places and platforms due to all of this so stay tuned. also please do not direct your frustration towards itch this is not there fault as payment processors are cowing down to Collective Shout. who are trying to get many games removed not just off itch but also on steam and other platforms by getting payment processors to deny service to those platforms.  if there is a direct way of combatting them, and pushing against there movement I will likely make another dev log about it, or update this one. for now, this will not slow the development of phantoms curse in the slightest.  expect part 2 of Vivian's content soon. weather it be here, or on another platform.
