progress about v0.30


hello! so its been a sparse month and a half. sorry about that. after getting sick multiple times and being all around busy with work and family, its been hard to get work done on phantoms curse. however that changes right now. specifically because things are starting to fall into place as i adjust to my new schedule. anyway I wanted to let you know I have a new snapshot version. I finished up the last of the male tigers animations, and implemented them into the game. well mostly. I think the one thing missing from the male and female versions in the new defeated animations. those still need to be expanded on, but they are present in a basic sense. besides that bestiary entry, and animations should all be here and polished, though please let me know if there are any bugs or discrepancy's. also I'm thinking about shifting development on phantoms curse a bit moving forward. lately i have been in a rut with this sprite for a while. its not that i don't enjoy working on it, but I'm wanting to work on something new. which is tough because there's a lot of older enemy's that still need some love and improvements. but to keep my motivation and work flow going, i think i need to do one new enemy idea, then improve one old one, and continue that process until everything gets done. so the plan is to do a few more improvements, since the tiger is now basically done, then start working on the new shadow enemy and area, then once that's complete, ill improve the rabbit and add some animations. then jump back to working on the mushroom enemy in the new area. this way i still feel like i have forward momentum for new content while improving old content. when this update is said and done its going to be probably the biggest update we have done. as usually download the snapshot of itch.io here: https://lunalyst.itch.io/phantoms-curse , or play it off the git repository here https://lunalyst.github.io/Phantoms-Curse/. something worth noting, is that not every enemy had a game over summary after you get vored or cursed. i might come up with some summary's, or if anyone would like to write them, ill add you in the credits for it. for now stay tuned ^_^

how/what does the Mimic ring work/do

and how do you get more skill

more skills have not been implemented yet.

the mimic ring, and rapier increase drop chance and amount respectively from defeating monsters that currently drop loot.
